Personal History About Scott

I was trained in Appliance Repair in San Diego, California at American Business College during the 1970s. After graduating from A.B.C. I worked for 2 different companies in San Diego as a service technician. Next I branched out on my own working for a large property management company. After a year or so I placed several large ads in the San Diego telephone book and started a company called Action Appliance Repair. I’ve been repairing kitchen and laundry appliances in homes just like yours ever since then for well over 40 years now.

In 1991 I moved to Oregon in search of affordable housing and a better life, and I found them both here. I love Oregon. Lane County is definitely my home. I’ve been here for over 30 years now and I would never think of moving  anywhere else. I started Fix It 4 Less Appliance in 1991, and within a couple of years I made a little niche for myself right here doing appliance repairs.

In 1995 I moved out of town. Shortly after that my dog Buster was hit by a car on the street outside of the house. After I got over losing Buster I got another dog that I named her Molly Brown (Molly “B” for short) after  the unsinkable Molly Brown.. She had such an incredible determination about her that I thought she was indestructable. Molly used to drive around with me in the car to all of my appointments. She was just a little puppy when I met her at the Greenhill Animal Shelter and she jumped right up into my arms the moment she saw me.

Several years ago Molly got cancer and died, and I buried her on top of a mountain with a view that lasts forever. She will also forever live in my heart. She died with my arms around her in mucht the same way they were around her when I first met her at the dog shelter. She was just 3 years old when she died… After two broken hearts I have decided not to get another dog for a while, but I  am a dog person. I just love dogs and I look forward to meeting all of my customers’ dogs now.
