Questions About Service

I provide expert repairs on most major brands of refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges & ovens, disposals, and room air conditioners. A service call is $69.95 plus parts & labor in Eugene or Springfield. It is slightly higher in the surrounding area, depending on where you live. The $69.95 service charge is for coming to your home and it includes a 2nd trip if necessary. It also includes writing up the repair order in your home and any time that I spend in the office ordering replacement parts. There is only 1 service charge per job, but it does not include labor time.

Labor time starts when I open the toolbox. If I don’t have to open the toolbox to tell you what is wrong and give you an approximate cost to repair, I will do that happily without charging you labor time, but frequently things need to be taken apart or removed and tested before I can tell you what needs to be done. That is considered labor time and I charge for that. The labor rate is $90.00 per hour and you are only charged for the time that you use. It is divided into 15 minute periods as follows.

  • 15 minutes  $22.50
  • 15 to 30 minutes  $45.00
  • 30 to 45 minutes  $67.50
  • 45 minutes to 1 hour  $90.00

I do not mail out bills, and unless prior arrangements are made, payment is expected at the time the work is done, while I am still at your house. I accept checks or cash. Sorry I do not take credit or debit cards.

All of my work is very carefully done so that there are almost never any problems! But because people and parts aren’t always perfect, if there are any problems, I fully stand behind all of my work! All parts are guaranteed for 1 year, and the labor is guaranteed for 90 days. If a problem occurs 1 day or even 1 week after the warranty period, don’t worry, the time limitation isn’t strictly enforced. I will still try to help you. After all, you are my customer, and I value your continued patronage. I believe that a happy customer is a good customer, and will be a repeat customer!
